Alberta Health Services are holding a workshop "Diabetes - the basics" on Tuesday August 26th in the Olds Library. The workshop runs from 9:30-3:30. You'll learn how to better manage Type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes. The workshop is geared to those newly diagnosed or wanting an update.

The Town of Carstairs proudly present this fun event for the entire family. The parking lot at Memorial Arena will become the stage for our annual drive in movie on Tuesday August 26th. This event has become one of the most anticipated and appreciated evenings of the year in our Community. Once you're parked and while you're waiting for DUSK why not head over and visit the Parenting Fair and Multi-Organization Registration Night. The movie is the Lego Movie. There is no charge for this event we just ask that you bring along an item for our youth food bank. Of course, the concession will be open with fresh popcorn!

The Olds Golf Club invites you to the annual Kolbassa Classic golf tournament on Saturday August 30th. Shotgun start at 9:30am 
Cost is 40 dollars for members and 60 for non members. Includes 18 holes of golf, Kolbassa on a bun, prizes, and a Ukrainian supper.

The Canadian Miniature Bull Riding Association finals are August 30th and 31st at the Caroline Rodeo Grounds. 
Events for kids include: Barrel racing, Wild Pony Race, Chicken Scramble, Heifer scramble, calf scramble, and wild cow milking. 
Cost is 50 dollars for a weekend pass or 10 dollars per person. 
Registration starts at 12:30 each day - with events beginning at 2pm.
