Recognizing the vital role that seniors play in our communities. That is the goal of Senior’s Week, recognized in the first full week of June every year in Alberta. Festivities kick off today and Katherine Doyle, Community Facilitator for the Town of Olds, says they’ve got some free giveaways planned.
The Town of Didsbury will also be handing out free treats this week including a mini cannolli from the Renaissance Bakery & Cafe on Monday, an ice cream from K&W Drive-In on Tuesday, free coffee or tea from Tim Hortons on Wednesday and coconut raspberry bar from the Vintage Coffee Bar on Thursday. Jolene Sanford is the Community Development Coordinator with the Town of Didsbury. She says they’ve also got some great prizes to give away.
Senior’s Week is being celebrated from June 7th to 13th across Alberta. For more information on Senior’s Week, click here!
