Explore Local Food
The local food movement has become increasingly popular over the past few years, and now workshops will be provided locally for those that want to learn more.
Producers looking to sell food in local markets or who want to learn more are invited to take part in workshops in Mountain View and Wheatland Counties.
Jane Fulton, Manager of Agricultural Services with Mountain View County, says that it's clear that more people are looking to support local producers.

The Explore Local Foods, Local Markets Workshop will be held on February 8th from 9:00AM-4:00PM at the Strathmore Travelodge. This workshop is geared to those new to the local market industry.

The Expand Local Foods, Local Markets Workshop will be held on February 9th from 9:00AM-4:00PM at the Lone Pine Community Hall. This workshop is for those already selling in local markets.

Registration is $25 per person and must be done by February 1st.
