Financial Update at Grizzlys AGM

The debt for the local AJHL team has grown to about $90,000 following another year in the red.

Getting back into the black is the top priority for the Black & Gold as the 2012-2013 Alberta Junior Hockey League season approaches.

Last night the Olds Grizzlys held their annual general meeting at the curling club.

Treasurer Kevin Weiss says they are in a little bit deeper hole than they were last year.

He says finding innovative fundraising methods and increasing the season ticket base will be a couple of the keys to sustainability moving forward for the Grizzlys.

Weiss listed the cash calendar, hosting a world junior hockey tournament exhibition game, the soft-ball tournament as well as the Grizzlys playoff run to the league's final four as a few of last year's financial highlights.
