Habitat For Humanity Heads To Carstairs

Habitat for Humanity Mountain View is building a home that will house 2 families in Carstairs.

Habitat for Humanity is looking for families in need of a home for a new development in Carstairs.

Jim Stone with H for H talks about the house they will be building.

Stone says they will be breaking ground on Wednesday at noon and they'd like to have families selected by the end of the month.

He runs down some of the requirements they're looking for.

Families are also asked to complete 500 hours of labour, which can include helping out during the build and taking courses in financial management.

The house is expected to be built by Christmas.

This is the first Habitat for Humanity house to be built in Carstairs - and the 8th to be built in the Mountain View area over the last 6 years.
