Hear From New Town of Olds Fire Chief Justin Andrew

Olds Fire Chief Justin Andrew is reminding residents and property owners in town about the hazards of carbon monoxide.

Justin Andrew began working as the new Fire Chief for the town of Olds earlier this month.
He was born and raised in Olds and has lived in town his entire life.
Andrew says the department has lots of avenues they want to pursue regarding developing relationships with citizens, municipal administrations, and councils.
Applications are currently being accepted for the town of Olds Fire Department. Visit the town website for the application package before the deadline of Friday, February 16th.
Meanwhile, Fire Chief Andrew also reminds residents to be aware of the potential hazards that carbon monoxide posses in their homes and places at work.
He says with the recent snowfall over the past few weeks to check your chimney and appliances for proper ventilation and function.
Andrew recommends that everybody has a carbon monoxide detector installed in your home; specifically close to the areas where you sleep and on each floor.
