Innisfail RCMP are offering a community information session to promote crime prevention in the community on Wednesday, May 16th.
Innisfail RCMP will be presenting crime prevention information at the Innisfail Public Library on Wednesday, May 16th at 6pm.
According to RCMP, this Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is an approach to crime prevention based on principles that can be applied easily and effectively.
The goal of CPTED is to use physical space to impact criminal decisions and behaviour, while improving safety, productivity and profit.
This program has both residential and commercial applications and works toward removing the opportunity for crime to occur.
There is no cost to attend this information session.
Property crimes are a priority for the Alberta RCMP in its crime reduction strategies. There is an ongoing focus on targeting and putting a stop to the activities of repeat property crime offenders.
