OHS Spartan Football Banquet

The Olds High School Spartans reflected on their 2017 football season on Tuesday, November 28th. The annual awards banquet was held in the commons at OHS.

The annual banquet for Olds High School's football team was held on Tuesday evening.
 
Defensive End/Offensive Guard Parker Krause was named the Spartans MVP.
 
He explains what the Spartans football program means to him and what he will remember about his fellow group of grade 12s.
 

Krause talks about who he expects to emerge as leaders for the Spartans next year.

Spartans Head Coach George Grant says while they finished with a disappointing oh and 8 record this year, it was great to re-establish the Big Sky Conference with Olds, Drumheller and Canmore.
 
 
Grant explains what he hoped his players learned from a tough season where they were unable to win a game.

Other Spartans football award winners included..
 
Damien Pederson as the top grade 9 offensive player.
 
Ryan Petersen was the top grade 9 defensive player.
 
Travin Graham was the top lineman.
 
Marshall Bloomfield was the player who contributed the most with the least recognition.
 
Jake Tebb was the top defensive player.
 
Kale Wright and Eastin Thorburn split the top offensive player honours.
 
And Nils Haeni was the winner of the Spartan Award.
