Olds Chamber of Commerce - Nominees Announced For 2019 Business Awards

The nominees for this year's small business awards will be celebrated during the annual Business, Beer & Blue Jeans event at Our Flames Lounge on Thursday, September 19th.

The Olds & District Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the business award nominees this week during the Business, Beer & Blue Jeans event.

The nomination list is out now for all 8 awards.

Up for Business of the Year for 15 or fewer employees are TyCal Inspection Services, iLock & Key, DermaNuva Skin & Health, Pet Planet and Ulry's Automotive.

Up for Business of the Year for 16 or more employees are Westview Co-op, A&W Resturant and O-NET.

Pandora's Boox & Tea, Our Virtual Desk, Suzanne & Jenny's, Cody & Company, Heavy Horse Tattoo and Jensen's Men's Wear are nominated for the Community Spirit Award - For Profit Business/Organization category.

Olds Rural Crime Watch, Mountain View Child Care, the Rotary Club of Olds and Padnoma Support Services are the nominees in the Community Spirt - Not For Profit Organizations category.

Nominees for the People's Choice Award include Preferred Rx Pharmacy, Gadget's Computers, Boomer Movers, TyCal Inspections Inc., Big Rack Rentals, Vista Travel and Stevens Jewellers.

The Presidents Award will go to either Olds Auction Mart & Rosehill Auction Services or the Olds Institute for Community & Regional Development.

The nominees for the Youth Employee of the Year Award are Jamel Landong, Abbey Iverson and Luke Saby.

A long list of nominees are also up for the Exceptional Customer Service Award. 

The Business, Beer & Blue Jeans event is at Our Flames Lounge from 5-7pm on Thursday, September 16th.

The 2019 Small Business Awards Gala is on October 17th at the Olds College Alumni Centre.

This year's theme is: Olds is Open for Business.
