Public Assist Innisfail RCMP In Locating Stolen Mail, Arrest Of Suspect

A 31 year old male from Edmonton faces charges after Innisfail RCMP received a report of someone breaking into mail boxes at an Innisfail apartment building on Wednesday, May 8th.

Innisfail, Alta. – On Wednesday, May 8th at approximately 8:00am, Innisfail RCMP received a report of a male breaking into mail boxes at an Innisfail apartment building.

A member of the community observed from a distance and called police.

RCMP conducted patrols and located a male sitting in a truck nearby that matched the description of the suspect.

The male was arrested without incident and a large amount of mail was located inside the truck in addition to numerous other items. Canada Post has been engaged to assist with the investigation.

31 year old Matthew Thiemer of Edmonton, Alberta has been charged with:

· Possess controlled substance
· Possess prohibited weapon
· Possess break in tools
· Possess identity documents X5
· Theft of mail
· Possess stolen property under $5000
· Mischief
· Breach of Recognizance

Thiemer was brought before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded. His first court appearance will be May 10th, 2019 at 9:30am.
