Rocky Mountain House RCMP Investigate Shooting

A 35 year old male from Red Deer has been charged following a shooting at a residence on the O'Chiese First Nation on Friday, September 27th. Rocky Mountain House RCMP say the 35 year old female victim was transported to hospital and remains in stable condition.

O’Chiese First Nation, Alberta ~ Rocky Mountain House RCMP say an adult female remains in hospital after a shooting last week.

On Friday, September 27th at approximately 8:30pm, RCMP were called to a residence to assist EMS with a female victim who had been shot in the head.

The 35 year old female was transported to hospital and remains in stable condition, according to police.

35 year old Blair Travis Saulteaux of Red Deer has been charged with the following offences:

  •  Aggravated Assault
  •  Breach of probation x2
  •  Possession of a firearm while prohibited
  •  Careless use of a firearm
  •  Pointing a firearm
  •  Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  •  Possession of a firearm without license
  •  Possession of a restricted/prohibited loaded firearm

Saulteaux has been remanded into custody for a court appearance on Wednesday, October 2nd in Red Deer Provincial Court.
