Rocky Mountain House RCMP - Response To Robbery Nets Four Arrests

Three males and a female are facing charges after an attempted armed robbery of the Caroline GTI station and a subsequent pursuit on Tuesday, April 10th.

Caroline, Alberta – Rocky Mountain House RCMP have laid charges against four adults following an attempted armed robbery of the Caroline GTI station, and a subsequent pursuit, on April 10th.

At approximately 6:00am, a priority call was dispatched to the RCMP. A male brandishing a knife entered the GTI and demanded cash. He fled on foot, cashless, when an employee yelled at him. Three other subjects fled in a vehicle, later determined to be stolen out of Blackfalds.

The responding Rocky Mountain House RCMP members located the vehicle driving erratically and a pursuit ensued. A Sundre RCMP member attended and provided assistance. The pursuit terminated near Sundre’s area and three vehicle occupants were arrested with no further incident.

The suspect male with the knife was located walking in Caroline and arrested.

29-year-old Daniel Potter is facing nine criminal charges including robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking. Potter had his first court appearance on April 11.

33-year-old Kevin Gallagher is facing eight criminal charges including possession of property obtained by crime, impaired driving, fail to comply with a condition of an undertaking and operation of a motor vehicle while being pursued by police. He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear April 18th in Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court to speak to bail.

44-year-old Kristina Fagala has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a controlled substance. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Rocky Mountain House on May 9.

35-year-old Darren Ray has been charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was released to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on April 16.
