A new organization called Rural Young Women in Politics will host its first conference this November in Calgary.
There is a Rural Young Women in Politics conference on November 23rd & 24th in Calgary.
Co-Founder Ashley Anderson who grew up in Olds says this past April she represented Red-Deer Mountain View with Daughters of the Vote.
As part of that, she went to Ottawa for a week and received a micro grant from the government to create an initiative.
Anderson says the conference is for young women from grades 9-12.
She says the conference will be fun and educational for young women across central and southern Alberta.
Registration is encouraged by Wednesday, November 20th. Carpooling options can also be set up.
