Suits And Boots - #StandUpToChina

Suits and Boots - a not-for-profit group of made up of farmers, Canadian investors and resource workers - continues to be an advocate for the agriculture industry.

The #StandUpToChina campaign is in the works with the not-for-profit group Suits and Boots.

Founder of Suits and Boots Rick Peterson says they have a done a big push on Bill C-69 and now the group is turning its attention to the canola issue in China.

He says the advocacy group had a lot of feedback when the Chinese government tried to stop the shipment of Canadian canola.

Peterson says about 2-thousand emails went to the Chinese Embassy and consulate generals in Canada on the first part of their campaign from Suits and Boots members.

Peterson says they started the group in April of 2018 right after Kinder Morgan announced they were going to be walking away from the Trans Mountain Pipeline.

Peterson says Suits & Boots now have about 38-hundred members across Canada; majority in the prairie provinces.

He adds the next part of their campaign is to show support and try to get passage of a bill that is in the Senate.
