Tie-Down Roper Morgan Grant From Didsbury Leading CPRA Standings

Tie-down roper Morgan Grant from Didsbury has earned nearly $23,000 dollars in 2019 on the CPRA tour. As a result, he is heading into Oldstoberfest in first place on the Pro Rodeo Canada money list in that event.

Didsbury's Morgan Grant leads the CPRA's money list in tie-down roping this season.

As of September 10th, Grant has earned nearly $23,000 dollars so far this year at Pro Rodeo Canada events.

In the past, Grant won the high point championship at the Canadian Finals Rodeo three times while he competed in both tie-down roping and steer wrestling.

However, he is just focusing on tie down roping in 2019.

Grant was asked if competing in only one event has helped him get to the top of the standings and if he misses participating in steer wrestling.

Morgan's wife Gillian is the Oldstoberfest Rodeo Coordinator with C5 Rodeo, so he says it is an exciting weekend and a busy one for their family.

Grant will get his chance at the Oldstoberfest pro rodeo during the slack performance this Friday morning at 9:30.

96.5 CKFM will have live play-by-play coverage of both nights of the rodeo excitement from the Olds Regional Exhibition grounds with the broadcasts starting at 5:30pm on Friday, September 13th and Saturday, September 14th.
