The town of Didsbury had the public engage and participate during the 2018 budget presentations held by administration in November. Mayor Rhonda Hunter says the total capital budget proposal right now is a request for $4.2 million dollars and the operating budget at just over $11 million.

The new Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Act takes steps to protect workers from harrassment & violence in all its forms, according to Alberta's Minister of Labour. Christina Gray says it also requires joint work site health & safety committees or a worker health & safety representative, depending on workforce size. She adds, the input will help shape specific rules around these new requirements to ensure the legislation is fair & balanced.

The Olds Pee Wee Grizzlys won their Rocky Mountain Female Hockey League banner thanks to a 2-1 win in Red Deer on Tuesday, March 13th. This weekend, Olds will head to the Hockey Alberta Pee Wee Female B provincials in Medicine Hat as the Zone 6 representative. Olds Minor Hockey will also be battling it out for provincial gold in Brooks during the Bantam Female A tournament.

Community Violence Threat Risk Assessment Protocol Signing
A small gathering - but an important one - took place on Monday, March 12th at the Chinook's Edge Division office in Innisfail. It was a signing ceremony for a new level of collaboration to keep schools and communities safe. Outgoing Associate Superintendent Wanda Christensen retired last week.
