Town of Olds - Cannabis Odours Raise Complaints

The Town of Olds has received complaints regarding odours emanating from the Sundial Growers cannabis operation.

According to the Town of Olds in response to complaints regarding odours emanating from the Sundial Growers cannabis operation, the town is encouraging residents to contact both Sundial Growers and Health Canada.

The cannabis industry is federally regulated, so questions and concerns can be forwarded to either Sundial Growers or Health Canada.

Communications Manager at Sundial Growers Sophie Pilon says they understand the odour might be unpleasant for some residents and they truly apologize.

Pilon adds Sundial Growers is implementing several strategies to mitigate the odour at the facility and they are following Health Canada regulations.

According to Pilon, Sundial has hired close to 700 employees and it is one of the biggest employers in the community and looks forward to contributing to the local economy.
