Six different emergency calls for service were received by the Town of Olds Fire Department between 6pm and 8:30pm on Tuesday, August 7th.
The Town of Olds Fire Department was called out for numerous emergency incidents in a short period of time on Tuesday, August 7th.
The emergencies included an electrical outage, an elevator rescue due to power outage, a vehicle fire on Highway 2, a residential structure fire, an alarm activation at a seniors' facility and a mutual aid request for a rural structure fire in the Westward Ho area of Mountain View County.
According to the OFD, these emergencies were handled simultaneously by Olds Fire Crews and a request was made for mutual aid support from the Didsbury Fire Department for the structure fire. However, the mutual aid support was not required when crews arrived on scene.

The town of Olds Fire Department is grateful to its members, their families and their employers who selflessly allow the dedication of time to the public safety needs of the community.
