Town of Olds Holding Open Houses For MDP Review, Southeast Industrial ASP Review

Landowners, residents, and members of the public in general are encouraged to attend two open houses being hosted by the Town of Olds on Thursday, April 12th. They are regarding the Municipal Development Plan review and the Southeast Industrial Area Structure Plan review.

Those interested in the future growth of Olds are encouraged to come to a pair of open houses the town is hosting on Thursday, April 12th.

Director of Parkland Community Planning Services Craig Teal says this is an update of the plan that was done back in 2002 for the Southeast Industrial Area Structure Plan.

The Municipal Development Plan review will also be on hand. Teal says in that plan they are also wanting input on the idea of a future tree reserve.

He notes that after recent development and several years going by, it is time to update the big blue print to guide future growth for the town of Olds.

Teal says once feedback is collected they will put together a revised draft, review it with their steering committee, and bring that draft to the public again. He expects that to happen in June of this year.

The open houses are both on Thursday, April 12th from 2:30-7:30pm at the Olds SportsComplex in the arena concourse.
