Wildrose MP Reacts To Another Court Ruling Regarding the CDN Wheat Board

Monday, June 25th 2012 07:00

The federal government won its latest court battle regarding the Canadian Wheat Board last week.

Last week, the federal court of appeal overturned a lower court ruling that said Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz broke the law when he stripped the wheat board of its monopoly over western wheat and barley.

Wildrose MP Blake Richards says this is great news for farmers & Canada.

He believes the government's decision to end the monopoly was in the best interest of western Canadian farmers.

Richards wants to make it clear that the Wheat Board is still an option for farmers.
