Staff at the Olds Municipal Library are hard at work after the announcement earlier this week that libraries around Alberta would be allowed to re-open. Library Manager Lesley Winfield says when the provincial government made the announcement, they were thrilled with the news.
With the re-opening comes several protocols that will need to be followed. Winfield says they are ready to adapt to whatever needs to be done.
She notes libraries provide an incredibly important service, not only with books but internet access, especially in the province’s more remote and rural communities.
