March 18th, 2020
The Didsbury & District Chamber of Commerce President, Laurie Klassen and the Didsbury Art, Travel & Trade Expo Committee Chairperson, Greg Poirier issued the following statement on the cancellation of this year's Art, Travel & Trade Expo event amid COVID-19 concerns.
"Today, the Didsbury & District Chamber of Commerce announced we would be cancelling this year's Art, Travel & Trade Expo event - a much-anticipated annual event that brings together business leaders, elected officials, media, and members of the public."
"The decision to cancel this year's event was made on the advice of the Government of Alberta who has asked organizers to cancel any events that have more than 250 attendees. This reflects current public-health concerns surrounding COVID-19. Public health is and must continue to be our number one priority."
"We would like to sincerly thank registrants, sponsors, government officials, and presenters for your ongoing support. We look forward to connecting with you at a rescheduled event in the future."
Our office is open by appointment only, email and phone messages will be monitored and responded to as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
