Boston Pizza has been operating with only delivery and takeout service available since March. Craig Sutherland, one of the owners of BPs in Olds & Innisfail, says they have still taken quite a hit but it has been busier than they anticipated. When BPs is able to open up again for dine-in service, Sutherland urges customers to have patience as everyone goes through a learning process in order to adapt to a new normal.
Boston Pizza is one of many restaurants eagerly anticipating the chance to open its doors to dine-in customers again soon.
Craig Sutherland, one of the owners of BPs in Olds & Innisfail, explains what it has been like for them to have been limited to just delivery and takeout service since March.
Sutherland says their BPs locations in both Olds and Innisfail will be doing a full cleaning and disinfecting today (Wednesday, May 13th) in anticipation of the possibility of being able to open as early as Thursday, May 14th if the provincial government gives the green light to Stage 1 of Alberta's relaunch strategy.
When they do reopen for dine-in service, he urges customers to have patience as everyone adapts to a new normal.
Considering all of the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, Sutherland gives the federal and provincial governments high marks. He says having financial assistance programs available has helped alleviate some of the stress and concerns about how they are going to go forward.
