Facebook Online Auction to Support Rachel Andres

Andres is an Olympic level discus athlete from Olds. Funds will support her 2020 Olympic journey.

There's a Facebook online auction in December to support an Olympic level athlete in Olds.

Organizer Joy Cavin says it is to support Rachel Andres who trains 5 days a week year-round in discus.

Cavin says Rachel moved to Olds about 6 years ago and coaches at Olds High School.

Cavin says funds raised will support Rachel so she can attend international track meets.

The international track meets will help Rachel move up in the Discus World Rankings so she can attend the Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2020.

Currently she is ranked 32 in the world and top 2 in Canada.

The Facebook auction page is called - Online Auction in Support of Rachel Andres.

It starts Monday, December 2nd and is open until December 6th.
