Innisfail RCMP Arrest Two Individuals In Possession Of Stolen Catalytic Converters

A pair of individuals from Calgary have been arrested and face charges after Innisfail RCMP received a complaint of a car prowling around a local business.

Innisfail, Alberta ~ On Friday, February 21th at approximately 12:10am Innisfail RCMP responded to a complaint of a Black Mazda 6 that appeared to be prowling around Hooker’s Towing.

Members located the vehicle in the McDonald’s drive thru and conducted a traffic stop.

A 27 year old female and 34 year old male, both from Calgary were arrested.

Through investigation, the license plate on the vehicle was confirmed as stolen and RCMP located methamphetamine and newly stolen catalytic converters inside the vehicle.

The male and female are jointly charged with Possession of Property obtained by Crime x 3 and the female is also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Provincial Offenses.

The identities of the male and female are not being released at this time as charges have not yet been sworn. 

Both were released on Appearance Notices to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on April 3, 2020.

Property Crime and Crime Reduction remains a priority for Innisfail RCMP and residents are asked to continue to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods.
