Mayor Muzychka Encourages Businesses To Stay Up To Date With Alberta Government Recommendations During COVID-19 Pandemic

The town of Olds Mayor says he has been in contact with a number of business owners over the last little bit during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Michael Muzychka, we are seeing recommendations from the Alberta government for certain businesses to either very much curtail the way they do business or to completely shut down. He has heard stories that certain businesses in Olds are not following those guidelines.

ROCK 104.5's Troy Laboucane spoke to Mayor Michael Muzychka on Tuesday, March 24th.

The town of Olds Mayor says it is really important as a business owner to stay up to date with what the Alberta government is recommending for your type of business.

Michael Muzychka thanks all the business owners who are doing the right thing, following those recommendations and closing down when they are asked to.

Mayor Muzychka will remain in isolation until this Thursday, March 26th after returning from vacation earlier this month and he says we all have to do our part during these difficult times.

Meanwhile, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 the town of Olds announced via its Facebook page this week that the following outdoor facilities are closed: the playground structures, the ball diamonds, the skateboard park and the O.R. Hedges Campground.
