Olds Grizzlys Honour Former GM & President Bob Clark With His Own Banner

The Olds Grizzlys organization wishes to congratulate Bob Clark on his induction into the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame this year. The Black & Gold sincerely thank him and his family for their committment to growing and bettering hockey in our area. The local AJHL club officially be honoured Bob on Friday, February 14th at prior to a home game versus the Camrose Kodiaks.

Before an Alberta Junior Hockey League game on Friday, February 14th the Olds Grizzlys honoured their former General Manager and President.

Bob Clark from Carstairs will be inducted into the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2020 this July.

Board Member with the Friends of the Grizzlys Society Mike Van Tetering says they presented Bob with a banner with his name and picture on it which will hang from the rafters at the Olds SportsComplex.

As GM, Bob Clark helped the Olds Grizzlys win three consecutive AJHL titles - plus a Centennial Cup national junior 'A' hockey championship in 1994.

Meanwhile, the 2019-2020 version of the Olds Grizzlys received good news on Sunday, February 16th.

The Black & Gold are officially back in the AJHL playoffs for the first time in three seasons thanks to the Calgary Canucks 3-2 loss in Drayton Valley.

As a result, Olds has clinched the South Division's sixth and final playoff spot.

After dropping a pair of contests over the weekend to the Camrose Kodiaks - 6-2 at home and 7-2 on the road - the Grizzlys have just 4 games remaining in the regular season.

This Friday they travel to Canmore, before returning to the SportsComplex on Saturday, February 22nd at 7pm for their final home date before the playoffs. hat one will be against the team they will face in the post-season, the 3rd place Drumheller Dragons.
