The town of Didsbury has a public hearing planned for Tuesday, July 21st at 6pm. It is regarding an amendment to the Land Use Bylaw for the addition of cannabis production as a discretionary use under DC-IND: Direct Control District Industrial. The public hear will be held via Zoom meetings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayor Rhonda Hunter says they will be discussing an amendment to the Land Use Bylaw for the addition of cannabis production as a discretionary use under the Direct Control District Industrial.
She talks about where cannabis production could be accommodated in the town of Didsbury.

She notes first reading of the bylaw was approved by council at the regular meeting on June 23rd.
Second and third reading of the proposed bylaw will be considered by Didsbury council during a special council meeting which will follow the July 21st public hearing.
