A new Buy-Low Foods grocery store will be located in the new Shantz Crossing development along highway 582 in the town of Didsbury.
The town of Didsbury celebrated the ground breaking of the new Buy-Low Foods grocery store being developed in Shantz Crossing.
President of Buy-Low Foods Dan Bregg says the current AG Foods store in Didsbury is part of the Buy-Low Foods corporate chain.
According to Bregg, growth in the town over the last 15 years was one of the main reasons to build a new larger store.
Bregg says with a larger store you need additional employees. He adds, all AG Foods staff will move to the new location.
Didsbury Mayor Rhonda Hunter says AG Foods has always been a central part in Didsbury to shop local.
The grand opening for Buy-Low Foods is slated for fall 2020 and it will be 10-thousand square feet bigger in size than AG Foods.
