Olds council gave the green light to a business re-opening program on Monday, May 25th. Storefront businesses located within the town's boundaries will be eligible for up to $500 dollars, while home occupancy businesses will be eligible for up to $100 dollars. The money will help assist with costs during the COVID-19 pandemic to modify public spaces to ensure staff safety, physical distancing practices or for the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE).

A business re-opening program was unanimously approved by Olds council on Monday, May 25th.
It will provide some funding dollars to eligible business located within the town's boundaries.
Director of Finance Sheena Linderman notes the funds would be given to help businesses modify spaces and to ensure staff safety, physcial distancing as well as personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She says businesses can submit an application to the town.
Mayor Michael Muzychka thanked administration and the businesses recovery task force for putting the idea together.
