Tremendous Growth For Wranglers Franchise During First HJHL Season In Sylvan Lake

The Head Coach of the Sylvan Lake Wranglers says the 2019-2020 HJHL season was one of tremendous growth for the franchise. Head Coach Pat Garritty led the Wranglers to a third place finish in the regular season in the Northern Division and then a trip to the division final in the playoffs.

The Sylvan Lake Wranglers finished third in the Heritage Junior Hockey League's Northern Division last season with a record of 23-13-and 2.

In the playoffs they advanced to the Northern Division Final before the COVID-19 pandemic wiped out the end of the season.

After moving away from Blackfalds in 2019, Head Coach Pat Garritty says there was plenty of growth for the franchise during the Wranglers first year in Sylvan Lake.

Coach Garritty says the Wranglers will miss graduating players Taite Opendries and Zane Bennett but they have a large group ready to return and build on a successful first season in Sylvan Lake.

Coach Garritty says in order to keep tabs on the Wranglers and their training camp dates for the upcoming HJHL season, visit their Facebook page or website.

Head Coach Pat Garritty and his entire coaching staff will be back behind the bench again for Sylvan Lake when the next HJHL season gets underway. The staff includes Assistant Coaches Karson French, Bryce Campbell and Terry McQueen.
